Services

No matter your dental needs, Andrew Fiscus DDS and his team are able to help you achieve optimal dental and oral health. Located in Bainbridge Island, WA, we are proud to work with patients of all ages, including children, throughout the surrounding areas. Through Dr. Fiscus’s commitment to continuing education, we are able to provide up-to-date techniques utilizing state-of-the-art equipment, creating the highest standard of oral care. Whether you are seeking a simple cleaning or need a full-mouth transformation, we are the practice for you.

Comprehensive Full-Mouth Care for Your Best Dental & Oral Health

Our general dentistry services are utilized to keep your teeth and gums as healthy as possible, by preventing issues such as cavities and gum disease. However, sometimes problems occur even with the best dental care. We are able to diagnose and treat conditions and disorders of the smile, gums, and maxillofacial area. We offer digital x-ray technology to uncover developing issues that can’t be seen during a visual exam, while exposing you to significantly reduced radiation as compared to traditional x-rays.

Teeth Cleaning

Besides twice daily brushing and daily flossing, it is essential to visit the dentist for a professional cleaning at least twice a year. During a cleaning, we remove stains, plaque, tartar, and food build-up from the teeth that are difficult to remove by brushing and flossing alone. We are able to inspect the smile for any developing issues and make recommendations to you on how you can improve your dental and oral care regimen.

Pediatric Dentistry

We recommend that a child visit the dentist for their first appointment around the time of their first birthday. It is best for a child to receive dental care as early as possible, so they can develop the foundation for a healthy adult smile later in life. During your child’s first visit, we will give them a fun tour of our office, and Dr. Fiscus will take a look at their teeth to make sure no decay is developing. This is a relaxed appointment in which your child will have a fun, positive experience! When treating children, we always make sure to explain everything we are doing and make sure they are as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your smile, we offer cosmetic services to give you that vibrantly white, confident grin you have always wanted but never thought possible.

Teeth Whitening

Unfortunately, no matter how well you take care of your teeth, your smile is subject to discoloration due to foods, beverages, and medications you consume. At our practice, we offer the Opalescence take-home whitening system for patients to use, which provides results that last as long as one to three years with occasional touch-ups. We also provide take-home or in-office bleaching trays. No matter what option you choose, you can rest assured the result will be a vibrant smile you are proud to show off.

Veneers

Veneers are thin, strong porcelain shells that are bonded onto the front of teeth. They can transform the appearance of the tooth and/or protect a damaged tooth from further harm. Veneers are a great option for teeth that are discolored, cracked, chipped, or gapped, and they are custom-created to meet your specific needs.

Restorative dentistry is the branch of treatments that focuses on restoring the function and appearance of teeth and surrounding structures that have been damaged due to trauma or disease. Some patients require full-mouth rehabilitation, which we are uniquely able to provide.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are a tooth-replacement option consisting of a titanium post that is surgically inserted into the gums and then allowed to fuse to the jawbone over the course of a few months. This post will serve as the “root” of the artificial tooth. After the fusion occurs, we cover the post with a crown, which will help the implant look like and function as a real tooth.

Amalgam Removal

If you have an old silver amalgam filling and are concerned about mercury exposure, we offer safe amalgam removal procedures. We can then replace your filling with a tooth-colored composite filling that will blend in seamlessly with your smile.

The TMJ, or temporomandibular joint, is the joint that connects the jaw bone to the skull. TMD is the disorder or dysfunction of this joint, which can result in pain, popping, or clicking in the jaw, as well as headaches and difficulty fully opening the mouth. If you suspect that you may have TMD, we will provide a full examination of the head and neck to determine if TMD is the cause of your symptoms, or if they could be related to another condition. After, we will share our findings with you and will determine if we need additional information to make an accurate diagnosis. Once we have achieved a diagnosis, we will create a treatment plan to help you experience relief.
Snoring is the sound that occurs during sleep when the airways are partially blocked by the soft palate, making breathing more difficult. Sleep apnea is a disorder caused by consistent blockage of the airways, which results in reduced or eliminated airflow. Someone with sleep apnea may stop breathing for several seconds multiple times throughout the night. Symptoms include snoring, fatigue, headaches, irritability, trouble focusing, dry mouth upon waking, and occasionally can even cause high blood pressure, and heart problems.

We offer several options for devices in order to relieve symptoms of snoring and sleep apnea. These devices are designed to keep the airways open during sleep, promoting easier breathing and improved airflow.

Also offering Botulinum Toxin (Botox®, Xeomin, Dermal Fillers) as well as Trigger point injection therapy for muscle tension/ spasm relief. When used properly Botox® treatments can relieve and often block migraine headaches and sore muscles for months at a time.
